to Chesterfield Special Cylinders Ltd - an operating subsidiary of Pressure Technologies plc
Hosted by the Managing Director, John Hayward.
The company was formed in 2004 following a management buy out from its German parent company. Originally formed in 1897 it continues to design, manufacture and offer services for a wide range of high pressure seamless steel gas cylinders, exporting c. 90% of its output.
Chesterfield Special Cylinders is not located in Chesterfield but is adjacent to Junction 34 of the M1 in Sheffield and is also easily reached by a short walk from Meadowhall Station.

Sir Alan Muir Wood, who died in 2009, was a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and an eminent Civil Engineer. The British Tunnelling Society is holding a Symposium and Dinner to celebrate his contribution to Engineering. Fellows of the Academy, Professor Robert Mair, Professor David Muir Wood and Professor John Burland are among the group of distinguished speakers. The subjects covered in the symposium include coastal flooding, tunnelling and geotechnical advances. The symposium will be followed by the dinner. The symposium and the dinner may be booked separately from each other.
