The Academy has a long and successful track record of working with partners to achieve its aims. In the context of our international affairs, our key partners include Euro-CASE and CAETS, engineering academies in other countries and the UK Government.

International organisations

  • Euro-CASE
    The European Council of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering (Euro-CASE) is a non-profit-making organisation of academies of applied science and engineering from European countries.

  • CAETS
    The Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS), is an international alliance of independent, non-governmental institutions, providing a forum for the consideration of technology-related issues of global significance.

  • GSIF
    The Global Science and Innovation Forum (GSIF) is a vehicle for cross-government exchanges of information and ideas to improve co-ordination of the UK effort in international science and innovation collaboration.

  • The Sterling Group
    The Sterling Group is an informal grouping of UK research-led universities with a track record of internationally recognised excellence in engineering research and teaching, which seeks to establish channels of communication between its member institutions and like-minded institutions overseas.

    The UK National Commission for UNESCO is an independent body and the Government’s principal adviser on policy and matters relating to UNESCO.

  • WFEO
    The World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO) is the international body representing the worldwide engineering profession.
