The Royal Academy of Engineering ERA Foundation Entrepreneurs Award
Eligibility
The award is open to
individuals or small teams comprising a lead
applicant and not more than two co-applicants.
Entries are sought from any field of engineering
involved in or broadly supportive of
electro-technology.
To be eligible for the award, applicants must:

Be an engineering
researcher in a UK university working in a field
of electro-technology (this might include but
need not be restricted to: electrical and
electronic engineering, aspects of bio-medical
engineering, electro-mechanical engineering,
optics and optical engineering, instrumentation
IT, software and hardware; and materials related
to electro-technology.

Typically, be at an early
stage of their research career – perhaps as a
research student, research fellow, research
associate or recently appointed lecturer.

Be able to produce and
defend an outline plan which describes what they
have to offer potential supporters and backers
and what they would like from them.
