The Royal Academy of Engineering ERA Foundation Entrepreneurs Award

Entry Form

The call for 2009 submissions is now open. Closing date for nominations: Thursday 30th October 2008.

The form and enclosures should be submitted by the Vice Chancellor’s office on behalf of the applicant.

This form should be treated as an essential cover sheet for any additional supporting material (defined in section 5 of the Entry Form).

Both should be sent to the e-mail address given at the end of this page by the deadline indicated. Please read the Rules and Conditions before completing this form.

The following items are essential and must be attached in addition to this entry form.

Any supporting material must be cross-referenced to show its relevance to the submission.

  1. A copy of your plan, including mention of how the winning entry will be exploited within the UK. This should not exceed 3 pages (font size not smaller than 10 point).

  2. Evidence of the underlying research, any patents or IPR and complementary work undertaken by you. Ownership of IPR should be stated. This should not exceed 5 pages.

  3. Information on the extent to which the submission, or part of it, is novel. The judges will be looking for a realistic assessment of any competition or prior art, set against the plan which is now being proposed to enable exploitation.

  4. A short summary of your submission which, if you are a successful finalist, will be posted on the Royal Academy of Engineering ERA Foundation Entrepreneurs Award website. This must not exceed 120 words.

  5. The nominee’s curriculum vitae. This should not exceed 4 pages
