The Sir Frank Whittle Medal

(silver gilt)

The Sir Frank Whittle Medal will next be awarded in 2009. The Medal is awarded to an engineer, normally resident in the UK, for outstanding and sustained achievement which has contributed to the well-being of the nation.

The field of activity changes annually. In 2009 the Medal will be awarded for engineering innovations in healthcare.
