Research Exchanges with China and India

Assessment

All applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

• Quality, track record and experience of the Visiting Researcher and collaborators.

• Quality, feasibility and originality of the proposal.

• Proposed dissemination routes and plans for follow-up.

• Intended outcomes and expected benefits for:

  • participating researchers and Institutions.

  • development of international networks of excellence and the wider engineering base in UK/China/India.

Please note that for Short Awards applications which aim to create new links between researchers in the UK and China/India will be given preference.

Monitoring

An end of project report must be submitted within one month of completion of the visit to describe how the opportunity provided by the Award was used. For Major Awards an additional interim report should be submitted describing progress made. A further follow up report must be submitted 12 months after the end of the Exchange.
